IT Management

We have an immediate opening for an IT Systems Manager who will handle IT systems/networking tasks for a large web serving infrastructure including web servers, application servers, database servers, mail servers, NAS and SAN storage arrays.

Maintenance of production web, database, mail, NAS/SAN infrastructure. All located in our 2 data centers in Downtown LA and LAX.

Responsible for dealing with occasional production server issues as alerted by monitoring system.

Acquiring and configuring new servers, encoders and limited desktops/laptops.

Will be leading project to move remaining Windows Servers to Red Hat/CENTOS Linux.

Setup and maintenance of server monitoring system. Moving from old system to NAGIOS.

Minor MySQL/SQL Server database maintenance. Mostly in setting up backups when new databases are added.

Leading project to move servers at one of our data centers to a new data center.

The following skills are required:

REQUIRED knowledge of Linux server administration (Red Hat Enterprise/CENTOS preferred)

Familiar with Windows Server administration

Intermediate knowledge of MySQL and SQL Server. Not DBA, but familiar with basics.

Knowledge of Java Application Servers, in particular JBoss, not required but a huge plus.

Networking fundamentals

Knowledge of server and desktop hardware

Familiar with basics of NAS and SAN systems.

Knowledge of mail servers Knowledge of Zimbra a plus.

Familiar with Mac and Windows desktop operating systems.

Ability to edit and write basic windows BATCH scripts.

basic knowledge of HTML/JavaScript is a plus.

Ability to setup NAGIOS a plus

Hardware and software configuration of audio and video encoders

Relevant work experience of 3 to 5 years.
Bachelor's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent experience required.
