IT Systems Management
We are seeking an individual to handle primarily IT systems/networking tasks for a large web serving infrastructure including web servers, application servers, database servers, mail servers, NAS and SAN storage arrays.
Maintenance of production web, database, mail, NAS/SAN infrastructure. All located in our 2 data centers in Downtown LA and LAX.
Responsible for dealing with occasional production server issues as alerted by monitoring system.
Acquiring and configuring new servers, encoders and limited desktops/laptops.
Will be working on projectto move remaining Windows Servers to Red Hat/CENTOS Linux.
Setup and maintenance of NAGIOS server monitoring system.
Minor MySQL/SQL Server database maintenance. Mostly in setting up backups when new databases are added.
The following qualifications are required:
REQUIRED knowledge of Linux server administration (Red Hat Enterprise/CENTOS preferred).
REQUIRED knowledge of VMWare 5.5
Familiar with Amazon Web Services is a plus.
Familiar with Windows Server administration.
Intermediate knowledge of MySQL and SQL Server. Not DBA, but familiar with basics.
Knowledge of Java Application Servers, in particular JBoss, not required but a huge plus.
Networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of server and desktop hardware.
Familiar with basics of NAS and SAN systems.
Knowledge of mail servers Knowledge of Zimbra a plus.
Familiar with Mac and Windows desktop operating systems.
Ability to edit and write basic windows BATCH scripts.
Basic knowledge of HTML/JavaScript is a plus.
Hardware and software configuration of audio and video encoders.
3-5 years of experience in IT systems management and support required.
Bachelor's degree, trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
